Al-Shabab club announced on Thursday its official signing of player Awad Al-Nashri, as part of the team's deals during the current summer transfer window, in preparation for the new season.

Al-Shabab clarified via its official account on X platform that the club's management, headed by Abdulaziz Al-Malik, completed the signing procedures for Al-Nashri.

The statement read: 'The club's management, represented by Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Malik, signed a professional contract with player Awad Al-Nashri for two years, with the option to extend for an additional year, wishing him all the best in his future career with Al-Lioth.'

In another context, Al-Shabab's first football team began its friendly matches in its external camp in Austria with a goalless draw against Romanian team Politehnica, in the match held last Tuesday evening, as part of the team's preparations for the new sports season.

Al-Shabab continues its preparatory program in the Austria camp, which includes four friendly matches, where it will face Emirati Al-Nasr on July 26, then meet Qatari Al-Ahli four days later, and conclude its experimental matches against Algerian Mouloudia.

The technical staff aims to raise the team's readiness and reach the best levels of harmony before the start of the season, after Al-Shabab finished last season in 13th place with 35 points.
