Reports circulating about Barcelona's potential signing of Argentine Julian Alvarez, Atletico Madrid striker, have caused division within the Catalan club's corridors, with clear divergence of opinions on the feasibility of completing the deal during the summer transfer window.

According to newspaper 'El Nacional', a number of Barcelona players are not enthusiastic about Alvarez's arrival, despite club president Joan Laporta's insistence on making the Argentine striker a priority for reinforcing the team.

This contrasts with what was reported by 'Sport' earlier, which stated that Barcelona players welcomed the idea of signing Alvarez and considered him a strong technical addition to the squad. The report indicated that Ferran Torres tops the list of players unenthusiastic about the deal, as he believes he deserves a full chance to lead Barcelona's attack, feeling undervalued, which has led him to consider a new experience, with his name linked to a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The newspaper added that Ferran's position is supported by his midfield teammates Gavi and Pedri, who prefer to maintain group stability and avoid changes that could affect players' roles within the team.
