Juan Laporta, president of Barcelona, has landed in the American city of Dallas, preparing to follow the decisive match between the Spanish and French national teams in the semi-finals of the football World Cup, scheduled for Tuesday evening.

In press statements made after arriving at his residence in Texas, the Catalan official touched on hot transfer files, most notably the club's position on Brazilian Raphinha, and the deals for Karim Adeyemi and Argentine Julián Álvarez.

Laporta dispelled all doubt about Raphinha's future, confirming in his conversation with Mundo Deportivo: "Raphinha is a key element in our project, and we are not considering letting him go at all, especially after strengthening the attack line by signing Anthony Gordon and Adeyemi."

He expressed regret for the Brazilian's absence in the decisive moments of the past season, saying: "If Raphinha had been available in the final rounds of La Liga, the Champions League, and the Copa del Rey, the outcome would have been radically different."

Regarding Adeyemi, the Barça president showed clear enthusiasm: "He has impressed us for a long time, as he possesses great speed and offensive threat, and Deco completed the negotiations brilliantly, and we will announce his official signing soon."

As for Álvarez, the Atlético Madrid star, Laporta praised his brilliance against Switzerland, but adopted a cautious tone regarding the deal: "We made a huge offer that impresses the coach and the technical management, but it is time-limited, not open-ended."

He added: "I personally contacted Atlético's leadership and clarified that our offer will remain valid until they find a suitable replacement, and we will not exert any pressure on them," refusing to disclose the financial value proposed.
