(CNN)-- The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) released the world ranking of national teams on Monday after the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup.

Spain, which won the World Cup title by defeating Argentina, came first, while Lionel Messi's teammates came second.

There were several changes in the positions of Arab teams that participated in the recent World Cup, as Morocco rose to sixth place, while Qatar, Iraq, Jordan, and Tunisia dropped back.

The Atlas Lions had the best achievement among Arab teams in the World Cup this year, reaching the quarter-finals, followed by the Pharaohs reaching the round of 16.

Below is the global ranking of Arab teams: 6- Morocco: 1803.99 points. 24- Egypt: 1597.04 points. 29- Algeria: 1576.80 points. 57- Tunisia: 1426.58 points. 58- Saudi Arabia: 1425.52 points. 59- Qatar: 1411.06 points. 63- Iraq: 1404.17 points. 73- Jordan: 1350.41 points.
