The Spanish city of Barcelona witnessed, on Wednesday evening, an important meeting between the famous Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes and officials of the Catalan club, on the sidelines of preparations for the presentation of German Karim Adeyemi as a new player for Barça, scheduled for Thursday.

The attendees discussed a number of files related to the transfer market, according to journalist Carlos Monfort from the Catalan newspaper 'SPORT'.

Monfort reported that Mendes had dinner with Barcelona's sporting director Deco and the club president's advisor, Alejandro Echevarría.

The meeting discussed the future of midfielder Marc Casadó, as well as the definitive return of Portuguese João Cancelo to Barcelona, after he played the second half of last season on loan at Camp Nou from Saudi club Al-Hilal.

The report added that Mendes also represents the players Alejandro Balde and Héctor Fort, but their futures do not require urgent decisions at the moment.

It is worth mentioning that Mendes also has strong ties with Real Madrid, and was behind the deal for the return of Portuguese coach José Mourinho to the royal club earlier this summer.
