Trend Micro, a cybersecurity solutions company, announced the official launch of its new identity for its enterprise cybersecurity business unit under the name TrendAI in Saudi Arabia, following the global adoption of this identity earlier this year. The aim is to enable organizations to use AI technologies safely and reliably, especially after AI became an essential element in task execution, operations management, and decision-making support, while providing the necessary protection for work environments that rely on it.

This step comes as the Kingdom intensifies its efforts to build a globally leading data and AI-driven economy by developing its national capabilities in this field, alongside cultivating talent and supporting innovation in priority sectors, under the National Strategy for Data and AI launched by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), contributing to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. In this context, industry estimates indicate that AI could contribute over $135.2 billion to the Saudi economy by 2030, equivalent to 12.4% of GDP. The Kingdom also continues to enhance its cybersecurity readiness under the leadership of the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) and within the National Cybersecurity Strategy aimed at building a secure and trustworthy Saudi digital environment that supports the growth of the digital economy.

As organizations increasingly adopt AI technologies to leverage growth opportunities, challenges related to governance and cybersecurity are also rising. The latest global study by TrendAI, which included 3,700 decision-makers in business and IT sectors, revealed that 67% of participants felt pressured to approve the use of these technologies despite associated security concerns, while 57% believe that the speed of AI development outstrips their organizations' ability to provide necessary protection and establish regulatory controls for its use.

A new era of intelligent cybersecurity aligns with the Kingdom's efforts to build an economy based on data and advanced technologies, supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The study also showed that more than four out of ten organizations consider AI agents' access to sensitive data as one of the biggest risks, while about a third of participants reported that their organizations lack adequate tools to monitor AI system operations or review the procedures they execute, underscoring the need for advanced protection systems that keep pace with organizations' increasing reliance on AI and digital agents, enabling them to monitor these technologies and manage associated risks. From this standpoint, TrendAI expands the scope of protection beyond infrastructure and applications to how AI systems work, their connection to other digital systems, and the decisions they make or contribute to.

In this regard, Wosni bin Qasim, General Manager of TrendAI in Saudi Arabia, affirmed that AI has become a key element in developing work methods and enhancing the competitiveness of the Kingdom's organizations, supporting the achievement of Saudi Vision 2030 goals. After Trend Micro launched its new identity TrendAI, the latter strengthened its footprint through collaboration with leading companies in developing AI models to enhance the efficiency of detecting and responding to security vulnerabilities. In this context, it announced its participation in Anthropic's "Project Glasswing," which helps organizations discover and address weaknesses in core software systems using the "Claude Mythos Preview" model. The two companies are also collaborating in evaluating the "Claude Opus 4.8" model to help developers and cybersecurity teams quickly detect vulnerabilities, prioritize them in complex technical environments, and accelerate containment and mitigation.

Through its participation in Anthropic's "Cyber Verification Program," TrendAI explores the role of advanced reasoning capabilities in developing AI-powered security operations and improving risk management decisions. This expertise contributes to enhancing the capabilities of the TrendAI Vision One platform, enabling security analysts, application security teams, and security operations centers to identify vulnerabilities that attackers could exploit, prioritize them based on severity and potential impact on the organization's business, clarify potential attack paths to targeted systems and data, and accelerate remediation across hybrid technical environments.
