Analyst: Collapse of the Iranian state remains a possibility... and the recent escalation has made its options more complicated
Political analyst Dr. Naif Al-Waqaa confirmed that the ruling mindset in Iran adopts a revolutionary approach based on excluding others, which makes it difficult to reach political solutions.
Al-Waqaa explained, in statements to Al-Ikhbariya channel, that the collapse of the Iranian state remains a possibility, warning that this would place the world before a human mass exceeding 90 million people, posing a major challenge to the international community.
Al-Waqaa pointed to Iran's continued procrastination on the negotiation file and showing more than one face to the international community, stressing that 'Iran's true face is appearing now.' He noted that US President Donald Trump has repeatedly stated that the Iranian regime is 'lacking mentality' and that if it possessed a nuclear weapon, it would use it.
Al-Waqaa noted that the recent escalation has imposed a heavy cost on Iran and made its options more complicated, stressing the need for Tehran to prioritize wisdom and listen to the efforts of mediators at the current stage.
