Polish authorities ordered evacuations in several areas as a wave of storms and heavy rain approaches, amid warnings of strong winds that could cause widespread power outages.
Radio Poland reported that the meteorological office issued warnings covering most of central, eastern, and southern parts of the country, expecting wind speeds of up to 90 km/h, accompanied by heavy rain and thunderstorms.
