A 39-year-old Saudi citizen died by drowning in the town of Uzungol in Turkey's Trabzon province, after slipping and falling into a water stream while taking a souvenir photo, according to Turkish media reports.

Sources indicated that his 23-year-old brother tried to save him and jumped into the water, but the current swept both of them some distance before rescue teams arrived.

Rescue teams, with the help of some locals, managed to retrieve the younger brother and transport him to the hospital, where his condition was described as stable.

In contrast, the older Saudi citizen was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was transferred to forensic medicine to complete legal procedures.
