Israeli warplanes destroyed a mosque in the al-Bureij camp in central Gaza and bombed two houses in Gaza City in the north of the Strip on Thursday evening, after warning nearby residents to evacuate, injuring 4 Palestinians.
A medical source at the Baptist Hospital in central Gaza City told Anadolu that two Palestinians with various injuries arrived after an Israeli strike targeted a house in the al-Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City.
Witnesses told Anadolu’s correspondent that Israeli warplanes destroyed a house belonging to the al-Sarhi family in al-Zeitoun after warning its residents to evacuate.
Two injured also arrived at al-Shifa Medical Complex as a result of a bombing of a house in the Yarmouk area of Gaza City, according to another medical source to Anadolu.
The source said the bombing caused a fire and damage to the targeted house.
In al-Bureij camp in central Gaza, Israeli warplanes also bombed the al-Nur mosque, previously targeted, completely destroying it, according to witnesses to Anadolu’s correspondent.
For his part, Mahmoud Basal, spokesman for the Civil Defense in Gaza, said in a press statement that various areas of the Gaza Strip are witnessing large displacement operations as a result of Israeli threats to target a number of buildings and facilities.
Anadolu’s correspondent, citing local sources and witnesses, said the Israeli army warned several buildings and facilities in Gaza City and the Jabalia camp in the north of the Strip, without specifying the nature of the places to be targeted.
On October 8, 2023, Israel launched a genocide war with US support, lasting two years and leaving more than 73,000 dead and over 173,000 injured, in addition to widespread destruction affecting about 90 percent of civilian infrastructure.
Despite a ceasefire agreement in effect since October 2025, Israel continues to violate it and maintains the blockade on Gaza, imposing severe restrictions on the movement of people, goods, and aid, as well as continuing its military operations.
