The General Directorate of Border Guards held a maritime safety awareness exhibition at Kadi Mall in Jizan city, with the aim of enhancing awareness of correct practices and reducing the risk of drowning among beachgoers.

The exhibition continues until July 28, 2026, showcasing the border guards' instructions and regulations for beachgoers, penalties for swimming in unauthorized areas, in addition to safety guidelines to be followed when heading to the sea.

The organizers explained that the event highlights the border guards' efforts in the fields of search and rescue, ensuring the safety of marine vessels before sailing, as well as raising awareness of the importance of adhering to instructions to reduce maritime accidents.

The General Directorate of Border Guards called on all beachgoers and sea visitors to adhere to the guidelines and instructions, stressing the importance of calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, and the Eastern Province, or 994 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions, to request assistance in emergencies.
