Border Guard Organizes Marine Safety Awareness Exhibition in Jizan
The General Directorate of Border Guard organized a marine safety awareness exhibition at Kadi Mall in Jizan city, aimed at enhancing awareness of correct practices and reducing the risk of drowning among beachgoers.
The exhibition continues until July 28, 2026, showcasing Border Guard instructions and regulations for beachgoers, penalties for swimming in unauthorized locations, in addition to safety guidelines to be followed when going to sea.
The organizers explained that the event highlights the Border Guard's efforts in search and rescue, ensuring the safety of marine craft before sailing, as well as raising awareness about the importance of adhering to instructions to reduce marine accidents.
The General Directorate of Border Guard called on all beach and sea visitors to adhere to the guidelines and instructions, stressing the importance of contacting 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, and the Eastern Province, or 994 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions, to request assistance in emergencies.
