General / Eastern Region Governor Receives Special Forces for Road Security Personnel and Reviews Their Projects and Future Plans

Dammam, 07 Safar 1448 AH corresponding to 21 July 2026 AD, SPA – His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, received in the Emirate Palace the Commander of the Special Forces for Road Security in the Eastern Region, Brigadier General Abdullah Al-Obaid, accompanied by personnel of the Special Forces for Road Security in the region. He reviewed achievement reports and implemented projects, along with future plans aimed at enhancing the safety of road users in the region's cities and governorates. His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Region praised the security and humanitarian efforts exerted by the Special Forces for Road Security in performing their tasks, contributing to enhancing security and reassurance on the roads. He stressed the importance of continuing to develop the road security system, raising its readiness, and benefiting from modern technologies to enhance traffic safety and protect road users. He noted that the Eastern Region achieved first place in traffic safety nationwide, thanks to the integrated efforts of security agencies, including the Special Forces for Road Security, the General Directorate of Traffic, and the Regional Police.
