UAE condemns Houthi group's statements regarding Saudi Arabia

Abu Dhabi, July 21 (QNA) - The UAE condemned in the strongest terms the statements made by the Houthi group against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including threats to ban maritime navigation for the kingdom. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement this evening, called on the international community to ensure the implementation of relevant UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216 on Yemen and Resolution 2722 on the rights and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, affirming that freedom of navigation in international waterways is a right guaranteed by international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 1982. The ministry affirmed the UAE's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures that preserve its security.
