Al-Azhar Al-Sharif condemned the Iranian attacks that targeted the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the Sultanate of Oman, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which caused damage to a number of civilian and vital facilities, affirming its categorical rejection of these aggressions that threaten the security of civilians and affect the sovereignty of Arab states and the safety of their peoples and territories.

Al-Azhar stressed that the continuation of these aggressions undermines efforts aimed at calming and de-escalating the region, calling for restraint, raising the voice of wisdom, prioritizing the language of reason and the interest of the region, and turning to diplomatic and political solutions as an alternative to military escalation.

Al-Azhar concluded its statement by supplicating to God to protect the Arab Gulf states and all Arab and Islamic countries, to spare their peoples the calamities of conflicts and disputes, and to perpetuate upon them the blessing of security, stability, and peace.
