The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Thursday the completion of the latest round of military strikes against Iran, noting that operations ended at 10:30 p.m. Eastern Time on July 22, for the 12th consecutive night.

In a statement, the command said US forces targeted Iranian military sites including naval capabilities, missile and drone storage facilities, coastal surveillance sites, and air defense assets, affirming that the strikes aim to undermine Iran's ability to attack civilian sailors and commercial ships.

It added that US forces targeted dozens of Iranian land military sites this month, coinciding with the resumption of a naval blockade on Iran, noting that it has so far diverted nine commercial vessels and disrupted one ship to prevent ships from entering or leaving Iranian ports.

The US Central Command confirmed that more than 50,000 US military personnel are deployed across the Middle East, and they are in a state of high alert, focus, combat readiness, and full preparedness.
