Journalist Mohammed Al-Bakri dropped a bombshell regarding the financial situation of Al-Ittihad Club, after confirming that "The Dean" faces a crisis that could cast a shadow over its plans in the summer transfer market and directly affect the team's ability to compete in the new season.

Al-Bakri said, during his appearance on 'Arabiya FM' radio, that Al-Ittihad will not be able to spend more than 20 million euros on all its deals during the summer of 2026, noting that exceeding this amount could put the club in a real financial crisis that may lead to bankruptcy.

He added that Al-Ittihad's management will be forced to move towards low-cost deals, in light of the lack of necessary liquidity to sign major contracts, which may distance the team from the competition race with clubs that have larger budgets.

The Saudi journalist concluded his statements by emphasizing that Al-Ittihad is heading into a difficult phase, considering that the club faces a financial disaster that could reflect on its administrative and technical decisions, if quick solutions are not found to restore balance to its budget and give it the ability to support its ranks as required.

This comes at a time when Al-Ittihad is looking to restore its status in terms of titles, after failing in all fronts last season.
