Karim Adeyemi, the star of German club Borussia Dortmund, is close to joining Barcelona, the current Spanish La Liga champion, during the current summer transfer window, according to a press report on Thursday.

The official website of Spanish newspaper Marca revealed that Barcelona has reached a verbal agreement with the German player, while negotiations are currently underway with Dortmund to agree on the final transfer fee.

Adeyemi is a special request for German coach Hansi Flick, Barcelona's head coach, who has shown great admiration for the player and asked the sports management, led by Deco, to sign him.

The Barcelona coach believes that the Dortmund player's skills fit perfectly with the playing style he has implemented at Barcelona.
