Berlin, November 14 - The German Football Association announced today that goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen will not travel to the Omani capital Muscat today.

The German national team is preparing to play a friendly match against Oman on Wednesday, as part of their preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. They will then head to Doha next Thursday.

The German FA said in a statement: "Marc-André ter Stegen will not initially travel with the national team to the short World Cup training camp in Oman as planned today, Monday, due to a gastrointestinal infection. He will remain in Frankfurt for the time being."

Germany will play in Group E of the World Cup in Qatar, which also includes Spain, Costa Rica, and Japan.
