Two Palestinians were killed and others were injured at dawn on Sunday in Israeli artillery and aerial shelling targeting a gathering of civilians and an apartment in Gaza City, as part of daily violations of the ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, 2025.

A medical source at Al-Shifa Hospital told Anadolu that the bodies of two Palestinians killed in Israeli artillery shelling targeting a civilian gathering on Kashko Street in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City had arrived.

Also, Palestinians including women and children were injured in a raid carried out by an Israeli helicopter targeting an apartment in a residential building on Eidiyah Street west of Gaza City, according to the medical source.

In a related context, Israeli naval boats shelled and fired at the Gaza City coast, while artillery shelling and gunfire from an Israeli helicopter targeted the eastern areas of Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

In the southern Gaza Strip, a medical source reported that a Palestinian was moderately injured as a result of Israeli army fire in the vicinity of the Hamad residential complex, north of Khan Younis city.

Eyewitnesses also said that Israeli artillery shelling targeted the Sheikh Nasser area and the vicinity of Bani Suhaila roundabout east of Khan Younis, without any reports of casualties or injuries among Palestinians.

Palestinians describe the ceasefire agreement as an 'illusion' in light of the continuation of Israeli military operations including shelling and incursions, and the continued closure of crossings except for allowing limited quantities of aid, which has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in the Strip.

Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement since its entry into force have resulted in the killing of 1,127 Palestinians and the injury of 3,643 others, according to data from the Ministry of Health in the Strip.

The agreement was reached after two years of a genocidal war launched by Israel on October 8, 2023, with U.S. support, which continued later in various forms, leaving more than 73,000 dead, over 173,000 wounded, and massive destruction affecting 90% of civilian infrastructure.
