Israel warned of 'Iranian missiles reaching its territory', threatening to respond with full force to any Iranian attack.

The Israeli warning comes after the Jordanian Armed Forces announced the downing of three Iranian missiles, while a fourth missile fell in a remote area, with no casualties or damage reported.

The Iranian missiles that targeted the port and airport of Aqaba in southern Jordan came after warnings by the US Embassy to its citizens against heading to the international port.

A spokesman for the Jordanian government denied issuing any evacuation decisions at the airport and port, affirming that they are 'operating normally'.

In Bahrain, the kingdom's television announced on Sunday that air defense systems had thwarted what it described as 'Iranian aerial attacks'.

The Kuwaiti army also announced it had thwarted Iranian attacks on Sunday morning, calling on citizens and residents to 'comply with security and safety instructions issued by the competent authorities' if they hear explosions due to the interception of Iranian missiles.

In response, US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Sunday that the US military had completed its eighth consecutive night of military strikes against Iran, in response to attacks launched by the latter against US targets in Jordan on Friday, July 17, which killed two soldiers while a third remains missing.

Thus raising the number of US deaths in that war to 16.

Israel did not participate in this latest wave of mutual attacks between the US and Iran, who are vying for control of the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

Despite both sides showing determination to continue fighting, both remained careful to avoid a return to all-out war, at least in recent days, amid warnings that the escalation could shatter that caution.

The US recently deployed more of its fighter jets to the region, including F-16s from Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany.

F-16s can attack Iranian radars used for launching surface-to-air missiles, in addition to carrying out other missions.

Also F-35 stealth fighters, the US deployed them to the Middle East from RAF Lakenheath in Britain.

This is in addition to deploying aerial refueling aircraft to the region.

This comes after the collapse of a memorandum of understanding that had been signed between the US and Iran with Pakistani mediation last June.
